Coldstream Horse Float Hire have various sizes to fit different horses. They are all maintained through our horse float service centre
and all customers are required to return the floats hosed clean inside and in the same condition they hired them in and returned at the time noted on the hire agreement unless otherwise arranged. Late returns mean extra charges.

All hire horse floats have dividers, rubber covered  floor and tailgate, front windows & PA Door. Variations in bay length, bum chains, breaching gates, float height, and float weight means we should have a float to fit almost any horse and tow vehicle. The floats are all different as horses are all different and they are all Brand Name horse floats.

The drive way is drive through so you do not have to back the floats. Assistance will be given to hook and un-hook the trailers.

We are open 6 days a week  Monday - Saturday hours 8.00am - 5.00pm, Wednesdays hours 12.30pm - 5.00pm

Sunday Hire available (pickup Sat between 4 & 5pm and return Mon at 8 am = 1 day Sundays only ).

Bond = $100

BOOKINGS: We accept bookings and drop in hires.

If booking a float the booking fee is the Hire Rate and is non-refundable. The bond is paid at the time of pickup.

If drop in hire then Hire Rate and Bond is payable at the time of pickup.

Hire Rates

Hire rate is for a maximum period of 24 hours. Returns on Sunday of hired trailers is not available. Master & Visa Cards are accepted and a Victorian drivers licence will be required. There is a hire agreement to sign as well for the conditions of hire.

PLEASE NOTE: It is illegal to tow a trailer that has a combined weight of trailer and load over 2 tonne on a trailer with brakes. It is also illegal to tow with a combined weight of trailer and load over 750kg with a trailer that has no brakes. Not all tow bars or vehicles can tow some of the above trailers safely and comply with the law. If you are unsure on what your vehicle can carry, please either check your vehicle owners manual or visit your dealer where you purchased your vehicle or you can even visit a tow bar manufacturer for their opinion on what your vehicle can safely tow.
